Robbie Gause brings knowledge and experience from Gause Built Boats to GB Fiberglass Parts

Robbie Gause, owner and founder of GB Fiberglass Parts, has over 4 decades of experience building fiberglass parts. While still a young man, in his hometown of Tarpon Springs, Robbie began creating boats, and boat parts, from fiberglass. In the late 1990’s he and his sons started what would become Gause Built Custom Boats. These custom boats were built by Robbie and his sons, and every fiberglass component, from the deck hatches to the complete hull and deck, were produced by Robbie and his employees.

During all the years of custom boat creation and development, a number of high quality molds were created for parts such as baitwells, center consoles, dive platforms and hatches. And now you can benefit from that work. These fiberglass boat parts are available for sale, and are ideal for boat repairs, upgrades and modifications.

Necessity is the mother of a fiberglass business!

How did it all start? After a long career building homes for folks in the Tarpon Springs area, Robbie found himself in an unusual situation. His son, Gunner Gause, had been mullet fishing from a flat bottom skiff with a motor mounted in an opening in the floor, right in the center of the boat. For years, this had proven to be the best type of boat for that work. But, in the mid-nineties, the newly introduced net ban made mullet fishing all but impossible as a career. So, Gunner approached his dad, Robbie, and suggested that he could make a living as a fishing guide, but that he would need a different boat, with a more traditional transom hung motor. But money was tight, and a new boat wasn’t a reasonable option at the time. So, Robbie and Gunner modified the mullet skiff, filling the large opening down through the center of the hull, and modifying the transom to support the motor at the back. A tower was added, and Gunner went fishing! It wasn’t long before Gunner’s brother David wanted a similar boat for guide fishing, and before long others were asking for them as well. This demand created the starting place for Gause Built Custom Boats, and Robbie, and his knowledge and experience with fiberglass construction, were the main building block of this new company.

GB Fiberglass Parts is an extension of that experience. Parts designed and created for various boats, and projects, over the years, are now available as separate pieces, and can help you repair, update or improve your boat. Take advantage of the hard work and design skills Robbie and his team have developed, and purchase the quality parts you need at a reasonable price.
